Dear mountain friends,
We present to you our latest video, showcasing the breathtaking beauty of the Lofoten Islands in Norway.
Situated off the coast within the Arctic Circle, the Lofoten Islands benefit from the Gulf Stream’s warmth, resulting in significant snowfalls and a surprisingly mild climate despite the high latitude. Characterized by rugged mountains, blue fjords, and steep slopes, the islands also feature gentle hills with long, open slopes perfect for ski-touring.
Our accommodation is in a cozy, traditional fishing hut in the Norwegian village of Svolvaer on Austvagoya Island. Svolvaer is surrounded by numerous accessible ski-touring hikes, offering a perfect base for exploration. The energy-rich, rugged mountain, and sea landscapes of the Lofoten Islands are guaranteed to create lasting memories.
Our experienced mountain guides are intimately familiar with these enchanting islands, ensuring a safe and unforgettable experience.
Watch, enjoy, and feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.
Wishing you fantastic climbing experiences,
Your Team at the Alpine School Tre Cime di Sesto
