Cima Grande di Lavaredo – West Face – Via Dülfer (V+ 240m)

The traditional route follows a steep ridge that runs through the hidden west face of the Cima Grande. This graceful climbing expedition encompasses challenging crack and chimney sections, spanning eight pitches and a 250-meter gain, rendering it one of the briefer routes on this peak.

In 1993, Hans Dülfer and W. v. Bernuth accomplished this courageous free climb through the formidable West Face. The ascent ends on the terrace and the route to the summit continues along the normal path.
