Cima Ovest – Normal Route (III+ 400m)

Cima Ovest may not be as famous as its two sisters, but its normal route is of a similar character. In the Sesto Dolomites, this route is the most picturesque among the Tre Cime of Lavaredo. Due to the majority of climbers focusing on Cima Grande and Cima Piccola, you might find yourself (almost) alone on the Western peak, even on days with ideal conditions. Both the ascent and descent follow the same route on the mountain’s south side, starting from the Auronzo Hut in Veneto near Cortina.
