Pala di Popera – Normal Route (III 150m)
The ascent of Pala di Popera (“Neuner” in German, that is “number nine”) is a relatively rare undertaking, typically done by mountaineers aspiring to conquer all the peaks of the Sesto Sundial. The route consistently follows the mountain’s easiest path, with difficulty reaching only the lower third grade in certain sections. However, the rock structure is delicate, and the presence of loose scree on the narrow rock ledges is significant. Aspiring summit seekers must be highly confident in navigating pathless terrain and scree, coupled with a well-developed mountain experience.
Pala di Popera stands out as one of the loneliest peaks in the Sesto Dolomites – an alpine adventure in the mountains is guaranteed.
This route is part of the multi-day ascent “Sesto sundial“.
