Sellaronda & Freeride Val Mesdi

An exhilarating skiing adventure including the classic Sellaronda and the renowned Val Mesdì, also known as the most beautiful deep snow downhill run in the Dolomites.

Program

We gather in Alta Badia/Corvara and commence our journey on the ski slopes of the Sella Ronda, crossing the Campolongo Pass to Arabba and continuing to the Passo Pordoi. From there, a cable car will take us to the Pordoi summit. A roughly 45-minute walk, either with ski skins or skis on our backpacks, awaits us. The initial part of the 4-kilometer descent involves navigating a challenging section—a hundred steep meters through a couloir—before reaching the gentler slopes of the Mittags Valley. From here we will be able to really enjoy the descent, the powder snow, breathtaking panorama, and the thrill of the journey. We conclude the adventure by traversing some short slopes to return to our starting point.
