Ski Touring Trip Lofoten (Norway) – Snow, Skins and Sea
Nestled within the Arctic Circle off the coast of Norway, the Lofoten Islands offer a unique winter wonderland. The Gulf Stream’s warmth leads to abundant snowfall and a relatively mild climate despite the high latitude. Characterized by rugged mountains, blue fjords, and steep slopes, the islands also feature gentle hills with long, open slopes—perfect for ski touring.
Our accommodation is a cozy and traditional fishing hut in the Norwegian village of Svolvaer on Austvagoya Island. Surrounded by stunning ski-touring hikes easily accessible by car, Svolvaer provides the perfect base to explore the energy-laden and rugged mountain and sea landscape of the Lofoten Islands, creating memories to last a lifetime.
