A breathtaking panorama, rugged rocks, peaceful plateaus, whimsical towers and imposing crevices characterize the Sesto Dolomites, creating the perfect playground for via ferrata enthusiasts. During three days, you’ll acquaint yourself with the most renowned via ferrata routes in the Sesto Dolomites. These include the cherished classics, perfect for beginners ready to go on a ferrata adventure!

Program

Day 1: Briefing and equipment discussion at 4 PM at the office of the Alpine School Drei Zinnen, followed by a short hike (approx. 30 min) to the Talschlusshütte.

Day 2: Ascent through the Altenstein Valley to the Rifugio Locatelli (2,405m), then via the Toblinger Knoten via ferrata: the route follows the former ladder path of the Kaiserjäger troops, guaranteeing an airy climb. The descent is via the eastern side. Overnight stay at the Rifugio Locatelli.

Day 3: Ascent through tunnels from World War I and the Innerkofler via ferrata to the Gamsscharte and further to the summit of Paternkofel (2,744m). Continuing along the ridge paths to the cozy Büllelejochhütte (2,542m), where we will stay overnight.

Day 4: Hike to the Zsigmondy Hut (2,230m), then continue to the Eissee and traverse the rock ledges of the Alpinisteig, featuring 400m steep walls, to the Elferscharte, from where we descend into the valley.
